Frequently asked questions
Due to narrow streets in downtown Cary, seven gardens located close together, and expected large numbers of visitors for the Cary Garden Tour on May 30-31, 2026, we recommend
*Please carpool with friends.
*Please choose one place to park your car and then walk to all seven downtown gardens. Total walking distance between all the gardens is ½ mile.
*Most of the streets allow Parking is allowed on only one side of the street. Please honor the “No Parking” signs.
*There is ample parking in the Cary Elementary School parking lot with entrance on Faculty Dr. between Dry Ave. and S. Harrison Ave.
* Other suggested parking areas are around Heater Park on the following streets: Heater Drive, Robert Street, S. West Street (both North & South of Dry Ave.)
*Park along one side of S. Harrison Ave. between Dry Ave. and Heater Drive.
*Page St. will be very congested where four gardens are located.
* Please remember The Cary Elementary School parking for the downtown homes
* On street parking is available for the other 5 homes on your tour.
After you have bought your ticket online, using either the website (carygardentour.org) or the QR code, you will get a confirmation email.
This email will contain a QR code that you will present at any of the gardens. You may present this either on paper or on your phone, and in return, you will be given your ticket booklet.
72 hours before the event, all ticket holders will be sent the garden addresses via email.
The addresses will be available on the website too closer to the time.
Please use your own GPS or the map in your ticket booklet. Each home will have signage that says THE CARY GARDEN TOUR. Each sign will have pink and white biodegradable balloons that will be disposed of responsibly.

The tour runs from 10am -5pm on Saturday and 1pm- 5pm on Sunday.
Please allow time to see the classic cars, Plant Therapy Bus and EmpowHER cookies at The Page-Walker Arts and History Center!
All the gardens are within 5 miles of each other so not a lot of travel time is required. Please go at your own pace and enjoy!
All lunches will be available on Saturday at The Page-Walker Arts and History Center from 11am to 2pm. You will need your confirmation email to collect please.
We have made the lunches as environmentally friendly as possible. They will contain a linen napkin, boxed water and minimal plastic.
The first 140 lunches collected will contain an original piece of art work by a local artist which will serve as a lovely reminder of the tour.
We will have water in all the gardens and we have created a reusable cup that will act as your cup for the tour. Please take this cup with you to each house on both days and take home at the end!
These are artists from The Fine Arts League of Cary (FALC) you will be able to see them in each garden and at The Page-Walker Arts and History Center! Their work will be for sale, and they will be generously donating 20% of the sales of their work back to the tour.

WPTF Radio will be recording the radio show The Weekend Gardener from the gazebo at The page-Walker from 8am – 11am
The Page-Walker museum will be open.
